We are looking for a sales driven professional to join our core team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a customer first sales professional, who holds themselves to the highest standards and aligns their success with that of the customer.

As a Sales Development Representative at Summit, you will play a crucial role in the growth and expansion of our client base. Your primary responsibility will be to generate and qualify leads, thereby setting the stage for successful interactions between potential clients and our Commercial Account Executives.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the commercial insurance market. Utilize various methods such as cold calling, networking, and social media engagement to generate leads.
  • Efficiently qualify leads and schedule appointments for Commercial Account Executives. Ensure that these meetings are set with potential clients who have a genuine interest and need for our services.
  • Conduct in-depth research on potential clients to understand their insurance needs and business challenges. This will enable tailored conversations and a higher likelihood of securing appointments.
  • Work closely with the sales team, particularly Commercial Account Executives, to ensure a seamless transition of leads. Provide detailed information about potential clients to facilitate effective sales pitches.
  • Maintain accurate records of all lead generation activities in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (Hubspot). Track and report on the progress of leads through the sales funnel.
  • Recommend operational improvements in our processes to help further improve overall customer experience
  • This position requires a sales oriented and outgoing individual with a proven history of sales, networking and ability to close.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Level 1 license, or willing to obtain in the first month of employment
  • 2-3 years experience min. in a sales role
  • Passion for Sales
  • Persistence and motivation to meet set targets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and G-Suite.
  • A results-driven mindset with a commitment to achieving targets.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Independent, Self Motivated, Ambitious and Competitive individual able to thrive in a fast pace environment
